My Ayurvedic doctor gave me this recipe to help me with my imbalances and to aid in the shift of the seasons!
Try this diet for a few days or a week at a time around the change of the seasons. It’s a good gentle cleanse and reset. Also if you’re experiencing any inflammation, yeast infections, mucus build up, or other imbalances… do a satvic diet! (Message me for more details as I have an Intro To Ayurveda explaining more!) Doesn't that look good?!
I mean, I know a lot of people aren't huge fans of zucchini... but! if you just don't tell them, they don't even know it's there! Zucchini adds moisture and nutrients to this beautiful loaf. And there's lots of antioxidants in chocolate right ;) I love this creamy and delicious rice pudding for breakfast. Make the night before or spend the time in the morning. It can be made in a slow cooker but I've never had luck with that method... It's a great recipe for those with stomach upset or trouble digesting.
This is a go-to recipe of mine. It's a family favourite and has been passed down through the generations. I've made my tweaks and additions though ;)
Ingredients: ~Prepare each day with love and kindness.~
This dish takes about 5 minutes to prepare. Mindfully set some time aside before bed to throw it together and you’ve got a nutritious and delicious breakfast waiting for you in the morning. Makes about two servings. Chia pudding: ~2 mashed bananas ~1 cup almond milk ~4 tbsp chia seeds ~1/2 tsp vanilla ~sprinkle of cinnamon/ginger/nutmeg Combine and let it sit overnight Top with your favourite superfoods My fav toppings: ~hemp hearts ~cacao nibs ~pecans ~dried cherries (Sometimes I make this to go camping but I substitute the bananas for applesauce so it lasts longer). ~Enjoy!~ This is one of my go-to’s. I love this soup. I make it for myself, I make it for guests, I make it year round! Takes about half an hour to make and serves around 4. Great with cheese or garlic toast!
3-4 large carrots, chopped 1 onion, chopped 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced 1 1/2 tsp curry powder 1 3/4 cup vegetable broth 1 14 ounce can coconut milk sea salt, to taste Simmer the carrots, onions, ginger and curry powder in vegetable broth for 20-25 minutes, until carrots are soft. Allow to cool slightly, and then puree in blender. Return to heat and stir in coconut milk until well combined. Season generously with sea salt, to taste. You can add Parsley or Cilantro to top or optional cream or oil to drizzle as well. Enjoy with loved ones!! ~Namaste~ |
